SHARESPACE Consortium Meeting in Hamburg

Last week, on April 18th and 19th, the SHARESPACE partners got together at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf to discuss the progress in the project. The 14 different partners gathered in Hamburg to present the updates in each of the work packages, and broke down in discussion groups to discuss open issues in each of the proof-of-principles and the real world scenarios.

Coming together and openly discussing is vital in large transdisciplinary research projects. Every partner is forced to push their own boundaries and make their research fit and work with others, and therefore open discussion is vital. The trials within the proof-of-principles are in full swing, and preparations are made for the VR research phase of the projects. Each of the real-world scenarios is now in production, and in Hamburg open issues or challenges could be aided with help and feedback from the other partners. The meeting was furthermore utilized as an opportunity to shoot dissemination videos about the research content of SHARESPACE.

After the long meeting day in Hamburg, the partners had the opportunity to explore a tiny bit on Hamburg with a small guided city walk, where they visited the iconic Elbphilharmonie on the city’s skyline.
