On the 12th & 13th of January of 2023, a meeting took place at DFKI in Kaiserslautern to kick-off the European research project Sharespace. The project, planned over the course of three years, will immensely push the existing boundaries of XR-technology. The objective is to utilize avatars to enable people to engage in sensorimotor tasks with others in so-called Shared Hybrid Spaces (SHS). The Sharespace consortium consists out of 16 highly-skilled partners (universities, research institutes, industry partners, & hospitals).
